The group was established in 1962 as a trading house and then grew rapidly over the years. Currently, YBG is the largest export house as well as the largest cement manufacturer in Pakistan. By virtue of the acquisition of ICI Pakistan limited, the YBG is now the largest manufacturer of Soda Ash and the second largest manufacturer of Polyester Staple Fiber in the country.
